Beeswax: This is a fat substance secreted by the glands in the bees’ abdomen. It is yellowish and has a very aromatic smell.

Beehive: The beehive is the place inhabited by a colony of bees, and in a more general sense, it refers to the colony that is living inside of it. These colonies can reach up to 80,000 individuals and are composed of three castes: the workers, the drones and the queen bee.

Bottom-board: This refers to the opening usually situated between the hive stand and the brood chamber. The bees get into the hive by this entrance.

|
Brood chamber: This is a box with frames where the queen remains with the immature bees, including eggs, larvae and pupae.
